Learn from my mistake 😭 The amber oil-based poly added way too much orange red to my stained beams. I should have seen that coming huh 😂 After being so frustrated with myself, I switched to a crystal clear matte poly when I finished restaining. I love them so much now. For stains I used @minwaxusa ‘s Weathered Oak, and a diluted Early American on top. Now I didn’t “correctly” dilute my stain. Typically, you should mix it with mineral spirits (when it’s an oil-based stain). I didn’t have any on
