The first phase of the Restoring the River Leven project has started, with improvements being made to a stretch of the river. The work will open up a two and a half mile stretch of the river for a fish passage, benefiting both wildlife and the local community. Once the work is complete, fish will be able to move easier up and down stream of the Burn Mill and Kirkland Dams to breed and thrive.
