Microsoft has updated Word and PowerPoint for Mac with a new generative AI model that creates detailed, contextual alt text for images.

Dubbed Hunter Alpha, the free model appeared on the AI gateway platform OpenRouter on 11 March without any developer attribution, subsequently being labelled a "stealth model" by the platform itself.
