More than a dozen reported tornadoes tore through part of the Central U.S. on Thursday night, including a powerful storm in northwestern Oklahoma that spurred a tornado emergency from the National Weather Service.

At 7:18 p.m., the National Weather Service reported that a confirmed tornado was traveling toward the town of Braman in Kay County, Oklahoma, which is near the Kansas border on Interstate 35. The tornado watch issued at 5:12 p.
