Apple is encouraging people to update their iPhones in light of new research that has pointed to vulnerabilities in older versions of the iOS operating system.

A powerful iPhone -hacking technique called DarkSword has been discovered in use by Russian hackers.

According to the researchers, DarkSword has been discovered embedded within several legitimate Ukrainian websites, including at least one with a “.gov.ua” domain.
